The two ex-Conrail E8s, 4021 and 4022, are on the move. They are headed to Philly via Selkirk. As of 10 minutes past midnight this morning they are in Buffalo, NY. I'll keep and eye out and try to get some shots. If you want to keep tabs on the units, you can go to CSX's Public Trace and type in CR4021 or CR4022. Here is the last trace: CR 4021 ARRIVE LOAD Q39211 BUFFALO NY 0212 0010 CR 4022 ARRIVE LOAD Q39211 BUFFALO NY 0212 0010
Update that CSX trace shows them departing Buffalo on Q626 at 5:30 this morning (supposed to leave 6pm last night ). Train takes roughly 21 hrs to traverse Buffalo-Selkirk, so they'll get in after midnight tonight (no shot today ). Probably be on tomorrow's Q417 to Pavonia, NJ. Scheduled departure is 10 am (not reliable). [ 14 February 2001: Message edited by: Harron ]
First off, they never got renumbered, they are still Conrail 4021 and 4022 (try CSX trace, you won't get em). Besides, they were 9990 and 9991. Second, they are going to a new owner in Philly, the guy who owns Juniata Terminal. One will be restored to PRR, the other to Erie. Third, they left Selkirk at 10 am this morning, should have arrived North Bergen, NJ by now.
Hmm, ok I thouight I saw 2 brownish (maybe blac??) E units with conrail, and had in Yellow CSX #s 9998 & 9999. I know 9992 & 9993 are ex-amtrak F40PH's or whatever, ok, just must be my eye need checked again. LOL
