    Hi, All, Y'all. ;)

Here are some typicle '60's pics of Westford, a preview of our next picture gallery. I ams still working on this gallery, so it won't be online for a few weeks yet, I will post a notice when it is.
Please note that I have performed some digital magic with these images, hope you like my efforts.
These images are the property & copyright of Terry Bowden & Westford Modellers Group.

Here is a view across the tracks towards the Loco shed. (All I have done to this image, apart from converting it to monochrome, is to 'paint' over the real world above the back scenes.)

Here we have D1040 'Western Queen' departing from Platform 3 with a Westford-Paddington express. (This immage has had the real world 'painted out' and exhaust smoke added to the Western and the 08 shunter.)

D1040 'Western Queen' working hard to gain speed with a heavily laden 'Saturday Spacial', heads towards Paddington, London. (Same comments as previous picture)

ooooops, clicked the wrong button and posted before I had checked or finished!   [IMG]

The title for the bottom pic in the last post reads as:

A scene at the coaling stage as 57xx class pannier tanks Nos 5758 & 5795 take on coal and water. (some 'steam' has been 'airbrushed' on for this shot)

Here we have a BR Standard Prairie tank on the branch train. The loco is in Ex-works condition. (a little steam has been added to this image)

The Standard Prairie, lower left, in this image, is the same loco as in the previous image. We try to show our loco's and stock in the grubby rundoun condition that was the British Railways of the 1960's.

I hope you have enjoyed my nostalgic preview (if that makes sense [IMG] ) of 'Westford in the 60's' .
I could post a few of these images as they were, straight from the camera, if any one is interested.

    Regards
    Terry Bowden

Terry, the original layout and your artistry with imaging makes it virtually impossible to get a sense if one is looking at a photo of the prototype or the model .... [IMG] Well Done! [IMG]

Terry, thanks a million for posting those stunning photographs! I particularly like the "Western" powering away from the station, also the flaking paint on the 16 ton steel mineral wagon. Magic [IMG]
