Can I program and control my EZ Command Turnouts with my Digitrax Empire Builder system? I have tried all day and can't figurre it out.
Somebody has posted instructions for setting the address on an MRC system on the Trains.com forum:EZ track dcc turnout & MRC Prodigy Advance Here they are paraphrased to work with any system that sends switch commands: On the turnout you want to program press the program button and hold for 2 seconds. The turnout will toggle four times. Send a switch command to the address you wish to assign to the turnout. The turnout will toggle twice to indicate it has accepted the new address.
Thanks for the info. I have tried it a bunch of times and can't get it to work. I will work at it again tomorrow. According to everything I can find it should work like you described.
Today I tried programming them with numbers that start with 1xx. They were numbered 001, 002, etc. I was trying to re-program them using the Digitrax system and using the numbers I had previously used. None of these numbers were in use because the switches were not working. But anyway, I tried it again using numbers that start with 1 and all of them took the programming. Weird. I am loving the Digitrax system. Way easier to use than the Dynamis system for controlling the trains.
