I recently aquired a FA-1 sante fe #22010 aristo craft locomotive.It is running fine but I have a question. If I turn the motor switch to off and turn on the power I get lights and smoke from the generator. when I turn the motor on and run the train it seems as though the smoke stops coming out. Thanks ken
The Fan and the lights have their own seperate switches. To turn them off you have to flip them as well. The Motor switch is always the bottom. Middle switch is the lights. The Fans are the top. They have Forward, Off, Reverse. Forwards and Reverse doesn't make a difference to the system, they run. EDIT: It could be the wick inside the system or most likely the smoke unit's electrical system inside the unit itself. In the case of the latter you will need a new one.
