    I always thought it was interesting that the two Hudsons streamlined for the Empire State Express, 5429, as in your photo, and 5426, used some of the same streamline items as the 10 streamlined for the 20th Century Limited, but deviated in several ways. The "Coxcomb" down the front of the engine was left off. I am pretty sure that the corregated (sp) siding was installed to match that of the cars on ESE. Then the two-tone paint.
