I was out having a bike ride with my wife last night. I noticed a south bound coal train on the BNSF-UP joint line, and it was sitting in the hole waiting. :::::thought passing through geeks mind: Must be something coming up the line::::::::::::::::: A heard a whistle of a train hitting the crossing at Santa FE St. so I turned around and there's my train. Nice train too, because it was a mixed freight with lots of interesting cars and just hauling butt. In the front were four diesels. One was an Oakley rental unit. I honestly can't remember exactly what two were but at the end of this line up comes a CN unit. Of course dork butt didn't bring his camera with him again. I have seen so many interesting trains where I did not have a camera with me. Anyway this train had some sulfuric acid tankers on it's tail, so that was interesting as always. But that one diesel was just so pretty to see here in Denver. Seems like it was a little out of it's way for a CN unit.
The railfan's lament! Murphy's Law #? For when you have no camera along, something special will always happen! Boxcab E50
I should really know better Boxcab. I even have a portable digital I could keep on me. Am going to keep on me from now on.
