I have just picked up the lionel overland flyer train set for my 6YO grandson and me to set up around the Christmas tree. The set comes with a basic 40 x 60 loop and I think the curves are fast track 36. Looking for just a simple continuous run layout to go around the tree, like a double around with a x over or something, no switching just something we can let run. I would obviously like to just add on to what came with the train. And we want to keep small if possible 4’ x 6’ would be awesome. Thank you for reading.
Like a figure "8" with a level crossing? Or over/under style? I cannot recall the dimensions, it could be close to your 6 foot limitation. There is a package available for making a Figure 8 in Fas-Track, so you'll have no troubles if that is the way you choose to go.
