Good shots. The clouds in the top photo are postcard perfect.

    Rob,
Great shots! [IMG] The first one, I think is "Southern Junction" (behind 42nd Street Oyster Bar). If so, the train is on NS tracks, heading for Boylan Jct.; the track in the foreground belongs to CSX.

According to my (3-year-old) son, you took pictures of, "Twains!"

haha, "twains" it was for many years for me, my parents showed me the teeth marks from my cribb chewing on the rail watching the NS go by a couple of blocks away. well, spring break is ending tomorrow, and then its back up to boone, NC where the closest railroad is "tweetsie", beyond that, is about an hours drive to anything common. hope yall have enjoyed the pictures, and thanks to the complements, thank goodness for no complaints! i have one more roll that will be posted as soon as i finish the roll, unfortunatly that may be a while seeing as in boone i really have nothing to photo!

    later,
    -Rob

Not at all bad for the first try, Rob. As Charlie said, the clouds in the first picture make what I call a photographer's sky. We certainly would like to see more, when you are able.

    Rob,

Excellent shots one thing I like in particular is you captured the consist and not just the locomotives, too many of us tend to focus on the locomotives rather than the whole train :D

Look forward to seeing more pics.

I like the composition of the 3rd one. Great curve, the whole train, as much as can be seen; is seen in the pic, and isn't cut off by the frame--the end of the train is cut off by a building, and that would seem natural in the city. The cluttered areas around the train are hard to get away from.
    I like it! :D
