Don't know if you guys have seen this site: http://gold.mylargescale.com/scottychaos/On2/ but check it out. I got some great ideas on my On30 kitbash just looking at this guy's kitbash of two Bachmann coaches into a Sandy River 2 footer. Nice work. John
I have seen some of his (photos) work. It's very well done. In the new M2FQ, there are some photos of a 7/8" scale SR&RL passenger car. Amazing work. Boxcab E50
His work really is quite good. I stumbled on the website when I was researching for the coach I am backdating. John
Hot dog... Nice work. I am thinking even the hobbyist size table saw might be too big for some of my N scale kitbashing projects that I haven't yet started, but it occured to me that I could make a Dremel tool jig that would basically "saw" on a straight line just like a micro-mini-tablesaw. The kerf from just a Dremel tool may be enough sometimes. Adam
My memory is saying that I have seen an article, a how-to, for setting up exactly this tool. Probably years ago. But it soudns familiar. Boxcab E50
I remember seeing that article also. I've thought about using a Dremel for just such activities also, might be better than my unsteady hand shaking over the top of these things!! John
This bash is easier in On30, the side height, and width don't have to be changed. Here is the stock Bachmann On30 coach, and the extended combine.
Where is the "splice" and how do you hold it together? I will be looking at doing some C & S tour cars later this fall and they need to be longer than the stock Bach. Thanks, John
