Now owned by the Delaware and Ulster.

#9061 was built for the New York Central Railroad’s first-class parlor car service in 1948 as NYC #61, an “Observation/10 seat lounge/30 seat parlor” car.

Is the car still in use, or just an exhibit? Good to see it looking so good after all these years [IMG]

It is very much still in use. The D&U is planning to use it, along with a couple of other cars, for special excursions. Here are two views of the interior.

    What, No Piano Bar....? :D

Thanks, Peirce. It's great to see remnants of NYC's Great Steel Fleet in such good condition.

It certainly is. I was completely unaware that that car survived. Looks great!

Not in this car. The bar (not piano) is in the next car.
