How easy is it to get the cab off of these units? I want to put the grabs on the nose but, don't want to damage the paint doing it to get the cab off. Scott
Easy just go slow. I did a couple of CN units for a friend. And I'm going to do my Southern this weekend.
Scott, unlike Kato the cabs for these have small "pegs" on both sides toward the the rear of the cabs. Once I had the walkway and railings pulled away I used a small jewelers screw driver to gently pry the pegs away from the long hood. I didn't take the cab off, because once I removed the walkways, there was plenty of room to manuever.
