Boston and Maine. Saw this 2005/05/06 at Cobourg. Has anyone see other B & M cars? Northern Alberta boxcar. A very rare sight in our area. Anyone else see a NAR rolling stock lately? [ May 09, 2005, 08:08 AM: Message edited by: Milne ]
Great photo. Judging by the paint and logo, that car is at least 25 years old, and possibly as much as 50 years old. I wonder if that car is still listed on Guilford's inventory, or have they lost it? How does a company keep from losing cars? Is it possible that there are cars still on the road that are no longer listed on company inventories?
I've seen a few ex B&M cars roll through here, but have been sold to General Electric (EEC) for lease service. Nice to see other things besides RailBox and CSX boxcars.
Lots of NAR boxcars in the Kelowna area. They show up once or twice a month. All are weathered as per photo so it's hard to tell what they looked like in new condition. Even the paint chips (yellow?) I have are not the original colour and the blue is even more faded. Perhaps someone knows a ref for a good colour photo. Dave
