I know that the Rock shared a yard with the Rio Grande in Denver for many years, and that it reached the yard largely on rights over other roads' tracks. My basic understanding is that typically, when a line has trackage rights, it cannot pick up or drop off loads over that track. Also, I am not aware of Denver having a freight local/terminal railroad. So, my questions are, did the Rock operate any spurs of its own around Denver or otherwise originate traffic in Denver? Or, did all its freight traffic from Denver originate on other lines and interchange at the yard for continued transport eastward? Please teach me! Thanks. Kevin
