Thought I'd share some of these I took yesterday and today. The below 170 was my ride to Ipswich. It terminated at Peterborough where I was waiting for it and folk were trying climb aboard thinking it was the 09:48 to leeds. This was due to the confusing information given over the tannoy (A regular occurance I may say).
The below were taken this morning at Ipswich yard as I was waiting for a ride home. Due to the bank holiday they're all parked up. I wanted to get a better shot of the class 90 but it was too close to the platform so couldn't get it all in. The yard was mostly full of 66's but some 57's & 90's were there. All but one Freightliner. When I arrived yesterday I noticed a lot of folk waiting around with their cameras but due to being late meeting mother I never got a chance to see what they were waiting for. Knowing my luck it a steam mg:
I have never been to Ipswich either! Should make a visit to capture some of the intermodal action Thanks for the pictures Carolyne - might just tempt me to make the trip.
As mentioned in the thread regarding March, I paid another trip to Ipswich yeaterday and got these while waiting for my ride home today. You can just see the chap to the left of the loco.. it was Bathtime :teeth:
This 57 was at the end all alone, Not sure what they're going to do with it as it's been there a while.
This is the Restaurant car on the 17:35 to London Liverpool Street. It looked quite full. I'm in 2 minds about their choice of colours.. It's definately eye-catching! mg: :teeth: All the coaches were in the new 'One' livery but the DVT and the 90 were still in the old Virgin livery.
That ONE livery is starting to grow on me, i really like the font face they use for the "ONE", still not sure about the stripes though.
