After considerable computer problems over the past month, I have returned, with this wonderful tidbit....no word of a lie. CPR has for sale 2330 cases of Burger King French Fries, as well as some cases of liquid hot chocolate mix.....anyone wanna bid on them, they are listed there along with some SD10's and a SD39....... guess they are getting into the food service biz LOL ------------------ J.E. I ahve seen BC Rail sell wood in the Lilloet yard, when you bought it, they puled it off the car. Quite funny to watch. Happy Railroading!! I was digging back here in the CP Forum and I seen this topic , this is hilarious Especially E-8's remark , LOL , LOL even more now
Funny but true. French Fries are shipped in cryogenic insulated boxcars. The waybills and consist clearly state "Do Not Open Door in Transit" which will release the gas and instantly make the freight claims people angry. The shipment then becomes damaged goods and is refused by the consignee, even though the product is still fine. Most likely the car with the fries was inadvertenly opened or involved in a derailment that released the gas. CP is just trying to recoup some of the loss. Maybe I'll buy some and go thru the BK drive-up and I can ask them first if they "Want Fries with that?"
I almost forgot about that post, it has been so long now. Damn that was hilarious seeing that.....I wondered if ya bought the SD39 or the SD10 if ya got the Fries as part of a "combo" LOL Jon
If you buy the SD10 they ask you if you would like to 'up size' to an SD39 with extra lagre fries for an extra $1
