Charlie and Friscobob: There was a news article on Altamont Press today about the Frisco Museum in Springfield. The original founder sold all the equipment to a Louis Griesemer, so it will remain in Springfield. Thought you might be interested. Altamont Press
Louis Greisemer is a Springfield resident who is also a model railroader and whose brother Vic is a Frisco fanatic. He was smart enough to store the documents in the former Frsco office building owned by Underground Springfield (which he heads). No idea what will happen to the rolling stock at the old site, but since it may revert back to BNSF (the inheritor of the BN deed), doubtless BNSF will want it all removed, one way or another. I followed the developments in the Frisco group in Yahoo!, and am pleased that the documents are safe, rather than landfill fodder. Thanks for the heads-up, Fitz. FRISCO UBER ALLES!
