    Hey All Your Frisco Guys!

    Heads Up!

THANK YOU ACCURAIL for being a company of principle and honor! Back in late August, I emailed Accurail, and requested them to produce a USRA 40' Double Sheathe Box Car as part of the 4600 Series. Accurail responded quickly and added the car to its series!

<marquee> :D Their telling of our railroad, we think she's mighty fine! Saint Louis-San Francisco, that's known as the Frisco Line! So let the record be straight, the Coonskin always BE! A symbol of the Frisco in U.S. History! :D</marquee>

I am pleased to announce that the Frisco 40' has been released as 4615 and carries the small Coonskin emblem! Yahoo!!!!

I am also pleased to announce that Accurail released the Frisco 40' Stock Car!!! And now, with their decal line coming out, multiple numbers should be available!!!!

    <marquee> :D YEEEEEEHHHHHHAAAAAWWWWWWWWWW :D </marquee>

Lets all email Accurail and thank them for putting the Frisco back on the rails in HO! They make great kits, and deserve to be applauded for hearing AND listening to its customers!!!!

    God Bless!

I have some photos of one of these that Frisco converted to a workshop/tool car for a M-O-W crew in Oklahoma, also of a heavyweight baggage/RPO car that was converted for similar purposes. My Uncle worked Frisco MOW on a bridging crew for 25 years or so and I inherited a lot of his pics when he passed away. See my other post also. The photos I have were taken at the following locations in Oklahoma:
Hobart (where I live), Clinton (the old and new Depots, etc), Blackwell, Perry, Snyder/Mtn.Park, El Reno, others.
I'd be happy to share these with you guys if I can ever figure out how to attach them. I have a scanner, and can make them into a file, but they never seem to attach when I try it.
I'd also be happy to see any of this subject nature (M-O-W) that anyone has.

IF anyone knows where I can find any photos of the old Frisco depot in Hobart (ca 1940), I'd sure like to see it.

I have the track lines for the Hobart, Clinton, most of Southwest Oklahoma for Frisco, Rock, and Katy, but very little on the Buildings.

As I said, my layout is the Hobart community in 3 eras: late steam/early diesel, mid-diesel, and modern.

Graphite, look on page 93 of "Frisco Southwest" and you will see a picture of part of the depot along with the Enid - Vernon Motor unloading/loading mail and passengers, April, 1946. Whats the story on the old CRIP Depot at Hobart, is it still standing? If my memory serves me right the Frisco used the CRIP Depot at one time discontinuing it in later years.

Heyu Graphite, I worked at the El Reno roundhouse when I was much younger. I understand it has been totally torn down, and a mall is there now. Any old photos of the roundhouse?

Great news about Accurail releasing the Frisco cars. Do you have photos of them yet? I wonder if they will release a series of numbers...

I bought an undec Accurail USRA DS to try removing the cast-on grabs. It seems easy to do. I just bought a Tichy USRA grab template and plan to use it to drill holes for the wire grabs. The Accurail car is so nice in every other respect...

    Great News!

Not only is the car beautiful...
Not only can you have it in the stock number...
Not only can you order additional numbers...

    But...

    INTRODUCING ACCURAILS GREATEST IDEA EVER

CAN YOU SAY UP TO 48 FRISCO DOUBLE SHEATH'S WITH DIFFERENT NUMBERS? YEP THAT'S RIGHT...

Accurail will make up to 48 cars for you with different numbers via decals. They just started this. This will be available for cars they make, or if you have a private road, they will do the artwork, stamp it, and supply you the decals.

    Whaaaaaahooooooo!!!!

Frisco! Frisco! Frisco! Whooo Whooo Whooo!

Looks like I better call Miss Bobby over at Hall's Hobby House! These may be the only new cars I buy.
