A conundrum for the road, behind the yard here is a hidden track. Being trapped between the wall and the back of the yard support benchwork. When I built this area, I used "W" company styrofoam roadbed (my mistake) and glued it down with latex caulk, and glued the track down to the roadbed. This worked oka for a year or two, then it started popping up here n there. Usually easily re-glued back down. But not this time. It is up where the benchwork for the yard is closest to the wall and access for glue is nigh impossible.

Am open to suggestions on getting in there and fixing it.

It is loose beside that small piece of foam between the track and the wall.

Oh brother.... I know you love perfection. But that section of track should have been tacked down. Now you do have issues.
If I find a double jointed monkey with skills. I'll call ya.

Not sure how bad the scenery is attached but.......

I would carefully take the lower scenery out with a putty knife and maybe a hobby knife, along the edges. up to where those bottles are.

If you cut it around the edges carefully maybe you can shimmy that lower hillside out of there. It would just be some easy patchwork to get that scenery piece back in and looking good.

If you can't get in there with the bottom scenery piece out you may have to do it to the top piece too...back to where that white is on the hillside and remove that piece to.

Like I said...I am not sure how you have all that scenery attached....hmmmmmmmm.

    Just my suggestion.

Can we see a pic from the lower side of the table? If I remember correctly. The track was accessible. I just want to know your space limitations. I am thinking clamps . A hand drill. And pushing tacks through with a pair of pliers. Its not gonna be easy
Since this section of track is not ever seen. You can do that. Just make sure it's not a Shingle nail. As much fun as that would be......
You could also wire it down every few inches. Wired over the ties between the rails.

Actually, since it's a hidden section, this just may be a really good idea for you Alan.

It has been a busy month with work and family issues keeping my time filled up. There hasn't been much train running either! So I have been pondering what the plan is going to be with this section. It occurred to me that this would be an opportunity to fix a few thing that have been either problematic or bugging me for a while. I tried a "fix" on the hidden track that kinda worked,

    And some other track issues,

However, these things have been bugging me, so I think I am going to do a radical change to the layout. No more blobs, and no more hidden track. A swing bridge will be required at the open end to connect the two sides of the room, but hat should be easily built and run. And it won't be hidden!

Stand by, as it may be a bit to get progressing on these things....

Thanks for the videos, Alan. I’m not a fan of hidden tracks. Too much can go wrong and too difficult to fix.

I've removed the tunnel from the plan for my layout too. I decided it's more trouble than worth. Besides, darn it, I like watching trains run, so why do I want to hide them in a tunnel?!

So, in preparation for the upcoming changes, I have begun rolling trains out of the yard. I added weights to the 501 so it could hopefully get through the bad hidden track. The few days of wind we had added a new layer of dust to the loop track also.

The yard level is going to drop to the lower level, while the high bridge track will pass high at the back of the yard section. The yard benchwork will get relocated to be parallel with the wall. The 'blob' on both ends will end up going away and the tracks will cross the gap with a swing bridge of sorts. This oughta be some fun! And hopefully eliminate some of my track issues.
