G scale Static Layout of the Old West.

I started this layout a few years ago to be an old Hollywood movie set or amusement park.It is about 30X40 inches with a plywood base covered with a layer of glue and sand.The other wood is stock pine and the boardwalk coffee stir sticks.

 

This is kind of what I envisioned when I started out.It went through many changes after this pic was taken.

 

This composition is too narrow but I didn't want to make it wider as it would make it too big and square which I wanted to avoid.

 

That is the old 1:25 General which has been jazzed up a bit.

 

The cutaway car was opened up like this for movie making purposes.

 

The train close to the station looks real but in the movie it is actually set much further back.
