Well folks I have been working on a station for my G scale Turtle Creek Central. I have some picks to show what’s done so far. Please not I have a long way to go. Window pains, doors and well you get the idea. I did however run in to a deli-la-ma here. The back of the station will be facing the inside of the layout. Should I leave the back wall out as to show the interior, or should I make a removable back wall? [ 07. March 2004, 07:40: Message edited by: Sean Moore ]
Wow Sean, that's a really great looking depot! I assume you're rr is indoors, that depot looks way too nice to be left outside in the elements!
A round operators bay. That's a unique detail! It must be an important place on the railroad. Plenty of fancy details. I'd be tempted to make it with a removable wall. Leave the wall on during normal use. Then pop it out to surprise visitors with all that's hidden inside. Boxcab E50
Sean, that's a nice piece with a lot of atmosphere! I would use a piece of clear plastic as backwall so you can see trough and at the same time it would add to the rigidity of the building. Paul
