Just wanted to let folks know that there is a GATS show at the Cal Ex[o this weekend 8-9 Jan. It's 11:00 - 5:00 both days.
If I don't have to work, I'll be there early too. Our Z Scale modular club was supposed to setup there, but nobody could confirm the weekend as avaialble, so we won't running our Z trains this time. Shooting for the cow palace next.
OK, I'll be there all day Saturday. One of our club members has a a module ready so we will be running Z trains at the Sacramento GATS. I'm going to bring some of my DCC equipt Z locos, and the last one I did is a BR89 that I Americanized into an 0-6-0 switcher. It is only about 1.25 inches long and runs suprisingly well. We are also bringing a couple other small Z layouts to setup on table top and run. It should be fun. See you there! -Robert
We won't be attending after all. The guy with the finished module, was recovering from a flu, and got worse instead of recovered today. Shooting for Cow Palace next month now. -Robert
Probably the worst show I've ever been to. I don't thhnk I'll go to another one...You'd think that if they are going to charge as much to get in ($8.00 a head after $7.00 for parking...) that they might have an Atheran rep, or something... Concur! Not an N scale layout to be seen for miles But, the one and only bright spot about it was talking to Chuck from Feather River - what a great guy with excellent prices!
