Yeah, not only is it ex-CR, it's also a C39-8, something a little (if only a thousand HP) different for a change. ------------------ Corey Lynch VP - Rensselaer Model RR Society NEB&W RR http://www.rpi.edu/~lynchc/Railfanning/railfanning.htm - My Site http://www.union.rpi.edu/railroad/ - NEB&W
i think it is a c36-8 since the number is in the 8200 series. if it was a c39 it would be in the 8500 series hold on let me check my timetable, yeah it is a c36.
Just to point something out here, a C36 would then be a Dash 7 series loco. Sorry, but that's a Dash 8, just look at the picture, especially with the telltale lower cab. My copy of the roster has the 8200-8212 block being C39s and the 8500-8542 being the C36s. C39s also hold the 8550-8688 block, which would make the lead loco a C39 as well. They sure look the same to me. I got my roster off of Eastern Railroad News, the roster was updated 7/10/00. With all the renumbering, your timetable might be a little out of date. The brake wheel tells me it's a C39-8... I couldn't find any pics of a C32-8 with one. I could be wrong though.
