Just as cruel as ever I don't seem to have any lists of rail-ferries; just bridges, yards and turntables. I also have a long day at work tomorrow, so I don't really have time to play. Good luck, Have fun!
Pretty neat....can't say I've looked at many of those before. Oh, BTW, this ferry travels about 200 miles to one of it's other ports. :tb-biggrin:
Looks warm. That track has rusted / turned brown the area around it. Wonder if it's a lake or open ocean traveler?
The Mopac once had a considerable navy of ferries and such in the deep south. I wonder if this is one?
I prolly should have known--the water is too clear. The Mississippi delta is some really murky water....
Whew! Almost had a BIG time blunder.... There is another ferry that looks EXACTLY like this one in another part of the region. That one is the one I found first and the one that I had tagged for my own reference. Good thing I didn't post the location or I would have been WRONG The funny thing is, it is part of the same system and even in a different country as the one I found. Have fun searching!!!
I know which one you found.:tb-biggrin: The south end of the lake.(Looks pretty much the same zoomed in)
Sure does! I didn't even pay much attention to the following photos after Darren zoomed out. I just realized the goof today. But at least my clue about distance to other areas is still fairly accurate. BTW, there's a train station a few hundred feet from this ferry and the engine's colors are blue with a red stripe.
