WOW, this place is so big I think it might be visible from space! :tb-ooh: :tb-ooh: :tb-ooh: :tb-ooh:
let me think out loud.. North is straight up Shadows imply Northern side of the dotted line Vehicles imply Drive-on-right (middle photo bottom left corner, little white truck heading left) crop fields, small and rectangular round-a-bouts I see no tracks leaving to the right, so the whole thing is a dead-end-yard not enough detail to spot or ID any engines she's big alright. So I'm thinking Continental Europe, possibly Germany
Found It! "no, it can't be Italy. Their roofs are all red, their crops are all wrong and it's either too hilly or not hilly enough." Bologna, Italy. Google Maps says 44°30'30.33"N 11°24'37.028E My truck for the drive-on-right assumption has a green cab And now that I can see it clearer, I think the stub-ended yard top right inside the balloon is holding all the locos. She's big alright.
Congratulations: Another ATSF Admirer!!! Bologna, Italy Dang it! I didn't get to use my "Oscar Meyer" hint Dan
Well, my semi-educated guess is that is the Euro-tunnel terminal in Coquelles, France. Big give-away is the giant return loops at the right-hand end and all those sidings. Coquelles is the maintenance depot for Euro-tunnel. Of course, this is where I might be totally wrong.
c&o_guy_uk: sorry, nope. The french end of the chunnel at Calais looks like: Google Maps. Too much green, not enough storage tracks. Oh, and I found the correct answer in Italy But, Calais is about the right shade of green for the Intermediate #002 which is still open (unless I find it in the next few hours)
