Oh my........ This one is going to be interesting. Spanish tile roof? Mediterranean yellow walls? Beats the heck out of me....time to turn on the 3D and go flying around! :tb-biggrin::tb-biggrin:
Well, I've looked around now for about 20 minutes and have come to the conclusion that I don't like 3D. :tb-sad: Needless to say, I think this one is for someone else.
The little islands centre frame, across the equator are the Galapagos. I can't see anything red-roofed and 3d there. Actually, there's not much sign of humanity at all. Are they a nature preserve? (nearest town, Baquerizo Moreno - it has an airport but no trains) <starts checking major yards in major cities in S.America for turntables...>
Ok, I've narrowed it down to South America! Most likely the western half of the continent, but haven't quite ruled out the eastern half. There's also a SLIGHT possibility that it may be in the southernmost part of Central America but I can neither confirm or deny that at this time. Other than that, fellow Geosleuth ATSF has ruled out the Galapagos Islands. Happy sleuthing!!
Found It! Google's Web site detailing the building 7°13'46.04"S 35°53'4.85"W .. I think I preferred the turntables. Campina Grande, Brazil On the upside, 3d buildings work about as well in Linux as Windows.
Good job!! I even searched Google's 3D warehouse looking for some help, but since I speak English and write in English, the "tags" to label the station didn't work (they are all in Spanish) On to the next one!
WINNER!!!!!!! Congratulations! Another ATSF Admirer Campina Grande, Brazil Location submitted by Stourbridge Lion
What, like Estacion and Ferrocarril? They didn't help as much as you'd think, believe me! I think I found this one with "rail". Not that I found 3d warehouse faster than google earth; oh no. <happy dance>
