Welcome to Trainboard Jess Would these high hood locos be in NW or SOU?[/QUOTE]I would like to see both, but mainly SOU, because that's what I model.
Genesis... In CORRECT C&O Railway paint schemes from the early 50's I would like to see E-8's, an RSD12, a Heavy Pacific dressed out w/ the flying pumps, a HEAVY "Mike" dressed out w/ the flying pumps, and one of the C&O articulateds in the same mode as Rivarossi. Okay... now guess what MY favorite road is! -Kitbash
I'd love to see a Baldwin babyface centipede. I know there weren't that many, but surely there are enough Pennsy modelers out there that there'd be a market. The NJC folks could kitbash 'em into the double ended thing they had. They could make it Seaboard Air Line as well, and then I would be a happy camper. It's not to hard to build a SAL roster these days, but the centipede would be a welcome addition to anyone who models the route of courteous service. There is a brass model of the SAL centipede, but they're rare and I could never afford one. If Athearn did one it would draw more attention to the Genesis line from transition era modelers. The F are good, but there is enough selection out there that you can buy the exact phase you need out of the box. John Bursi
Personally, I'd like to see the GP38-2 and GP40-2 done properly, with grab irons, nose options (81" or 88"), and the radiator grille options for the GP40-2s (chicken-wire or corrugated). ALso, scale-width hoods for the U-boats, plus maybe the Dash 7 lines as well. Not being a steam guy, I don't care what Athearn comes up with, as long as it looks & runs well. That's the opinion of THIS diesel weasel.... (PS- Matt, you may be better off pushing Stewart to do a C636, since they've already done six-motor Centurys. And good luck to ya...I'd like to see a few more Alcos myself) [ 06 April 2002, 07:24: Message edited by: friscobob ]
