    Hello,

I've never put together a wood laser cut structure and wondering what glue people would recommend? I doubt it's just Elmer's glue.

When it comes to painting, any tips and paint recommendations? Spray or brush?

After spending $35 on each kit I don't want to make a mess of them.

    Thanks,

There should be some recommendations in the instructions.

IMHO, Elmer's white glue should work just fine, but there are other options, too. The stain, if used, will not look right after the parts are glued together. You need to stain the wood first before assembly if you plan to color the wood. Paint will cover the wood.

I use superglue sparingly, because I'm too impatient to wait for white glue to dry. any excess glue can be sanded off. I use acrylic paints applied with a brush to add to the 'surface texture' on the wood. thinning down the paint can add some interesting effects.
