I have two books that I consider excellent sources of data and especially pictures: Conrail Motive Power Review (1986-91) and Conrail: The Final Years (1992-97). Both book are by Paul Withers of Withers Publishing (The Diesel Era people!) The "Final Years" book actually had a second printing (which I have) that includes the SD70's and SD70MAC's.
