You would need heavy equipment to move it! man, that things looks solid. If I had a couple million, I would buy that station and put a model RR into it.

Wasn't there a developer who was going to do something with this structure?

Ken, there are two buildings right next to each other, the one that had been up for sale for so long that finally got sold is this one.

The one that Ben just posted is to the right of the above shot

I would love to have either building but didn't win Mega-Millions so no such luck...

Here is one more shot where you can see both buildings.

... and not to forget, to the right is the "New" AMTRAK building

The one with the Union Station sign on top used to have a hobby shop in it. It moved to a spot downtown, and later the couple sold it & retired.

IIRC, the main building proper was supposed to be renovated, remodeled, redone, etc. for quite a while, and the fellow that was supposed to do it was,a ccording to some, a piece of work himself. The combination of a bad memory and libel laws prohibit me from saying any more about the matter.

Quite a complex of buildings. I'd suppose at one time they held dispatchers offices, B&B headquarters, engineering offices, etc.
