Hi all, I have a question.

I recieved this photo from a gentleman asking if I could help in identifying the railroad/locomotive seen in the photograph. It was shot in Grandville, Michigan. He was unsure of the date, but he thought it was around the 1910s or so. From what I have found so far, the Pere Marquette ran through Grandville, but upon examination of a PM roster, I could not find a loco numbered 17. I did find one from predecessor road Lake Erie & Detroit River that had this number. My thought was that this photo was taken right after the merger that formed the Pere Marquette in 1900. This is only what I have found/speculated so far, so any additional info that you all can come across would be superb.

The attire on those people sure looks like about 1890's era.
