John great shot with the low angle. :D I still think the best picture I ever took was a ground level shot on my old layout, an oldie but still my favorite

Yes, I have the same problem John. I can't see Tony's pic.
Thanks I figured you guys remembered that one. When I saw this thread it made me stop and think just why this one was my favorite.

ok, i seen what to do I didn't get David's post before this one.

John football is over. So yes you'll start seeing more projects especially over the holidays when I get some time and my coaching stipend comes in. :D :D On the to do list, I have to get that MT water tower, and I want to get the AJ slick kit as well. After that I'll see what else needs to get my attension.

Sorry about the picture guy's, even tho i frequent this site, i have yet to figure out how to post pictures. I copied the URL/http from over on ZCS for one of my pictures, but i did'nt work..... So of frustrating...

I can't seem to post pictures on ZSC anymore either... I think its the file size or something???? Anyway, i use to be easy for me to post pictures, but now that i can't get it to work on any of the sites, so i pretty much have given up. The other down side to this is that i'm loosing interest in these sites, other than a brief read. The new ZCS is sort of cumbersome for anything other than comments.... same here on TB.

So again sorry about the picture, but it's seams to be to much of a pain in the ____ to post pics any more for me.

Tony, I can walk you through it if you want. I have a album in my TB on the upper left of the screen. Do you see one if yours? If you dont then you have to get a acct with railimages. Right now, its kind of slow because there hasnt been anything new, but I have some new exciting stuff coming.

    Thanks John,
I get frustrated with computer related items from time to time, as i still am not a computer guy, and lack some of the basic fundimentals. Now that winter is coming, i'll have more time to mess around, and i should be able to at least figure out what i'm doing wrong on ZCS.

Nice shot Joe. I can see all the work you doing to your layout. Did you paint the clouds. They look very realistic.

Thanks John, the clouds are actually part of a Walthers backround that they used to sell, I believe whistle stop or something is the name of it. They sell it like a poster and I cut it out and it just seemed to be the right size.

I still have lots to do on the layout. I am really trying to learn my camera to take better pictures. Once I start seeing the pictures close up then I see more areas to improve on the layout. I have a few kits I'm going to order next week so I'll be taking more pictures in the next few weeks.

Oh that's a nice local passenger look !!

As for the ground level shot, the only tow ways I know is a mirror (invert back in the software) or the camera at the edge of the layout/module (then crop the higher resolution picture down to the recorrect aspect ratio). MR likes the image like you are standing there. Your pix is about 15-20' high shot (cab roof height). It's not easy.

I think I might try that mirror idea out...and maybe a couple other things. Right now this bug has bitten me to take better photos especially with that ground level shot. :D
