I am building an N-scale layout in my garage. 16' x 10' x 8' x 4 1/2'. I will be using SPDT pushbuttons to control my turnouts. I am looking for an easier way to hook up my turnout wires. Came across this and was wondering if can be used for turnout control with SPDT pushbuttons.

Those appear to operate either stall-motor- or servo-operated turnouts. IINM, Tortoise stall motors have contacts to connect panel mounted control switches.

If you have snap action (solenoid operated) switches, you need something different for them, and you need to know whether the switch motor is dual coil (Atlas three wire) or bipolar coil (Kato, LGB two wire). There are stationary decoders for controlling these from a DCC system.

Either can be driven by momentary front panel switches and a 12VDC power supply (different panel switch types depending on three or two wires.)

With extra components (capacitor and a resistor or two), you can drive two or three wire solenoid switch machines from a non-momentary SPDT and drive status leds to boot. (https://www.trainboard.com/highball/index.php?resources/g-ray-stilwell-bcd-circuit.153/)

If you use JMRI & DCC, there are options for commanding DCC controlled turnouts from front panel switches (or touch screen displays) through JMRI.
