    I have a Mini-Mac(Intel - Leopard 10.5.4), using Firefox (3.01) as a browser with a customized Google home page.

When I used the Quick Links/RSS Feed Directory, I selected 5 Trainboard forums to appear as buttons on my Browser Bookmark Toolbar. They all snapped up there just fine. But, I found complications.

First, all 5 buttons looked the same - "Trainboard.co - ". This was easily fixed by Right-Clicking on a selected button and changing the name from "Trainboard.co - forum name" to "forum name - TBF". Now the buttons tell me what I am going to see when I click the button.

The second problem was not solved so easily. If I clicked on a thread title, the thread was accessed properly and I might add VERY quickly. A real pleasant shortcut. But, when I clicked on the line "Open forum name - TBF" I always would get TBF's Home page instead of the forum home page. After considerable experimentation I found the following routine the only one that worked for me. I tried leaving steps out, or rearranging to be more convenient - to no avail. While the number of steps might appear cumbersome in reading, it only takes about 30 seconds per button to accomplish all steps. All of these steps were taken AFTER I had selected the forums that I wanted to be available at a click of the mouse. They all had buttons in my Bookmark Toolbar and I had edited the names as described above. "Clicking" refers to clicking with the mouse left-button. Right-clicks will be specified as such.

    1. Select a toolbar button to fix by right-clicking on the button - call it "Button A", and click on "Properties"
    2. Click on the line "Site Location" contents.
    3. Highlight the contents and delete all leaving an empty "Site Location"
    4. Click on "Save Changes"
    5. Now navigate to the home page of the forum. Use any means to get there.
    6. Select the URL from the window that starts "http://". Be sure that the entire line of coding is highlighted.
    7. Right-click while pointing at the highlighted data and select "Copy" from the drop-down box.
    8. Now redo steps 1 and 2. from above for "Button A".
    9. Point at the open space of "Site Location". Your cursor symbol should appear in the box.
    10. While still pointing at the open space, right-click and select "Paste"
    11. The URL that you copied from the forum home page now appears as Site Location.
    12. Click on "Save Changes"
    13. Button A is done - now proceed thru the remainder of the buttons.

If you were having the same trouble as I was experienceing, I believe you will find this to be a solution. Good Luck!
