Hi all! I model the present-day in HO and N scale, mostly HO. My main focus is Amtrak and Norfolk Southern in the East but I do model some other freight railroads as well. I only have a tiny N scale layout due to size constrains in a Manhattan apartment, but I do have access to a huge HO layout and a sizable N scale one as I am a member of The Model Railroad Club, Inc. in Union, NJ. I own a Digitrax Zephyr DCS51 DCC system which I use at home for my N scale layout and HO trains I sometimes run on the floor. I have a large roster of locomotives and cars in both scales, and about 70% of my locos are DCC equipped. 25% I plan on putting a decoder in, and the remaining 5% I don't (this would include a few old Life-Like and Bachmann engines I've either had forever or have gotten free from a junk box at my club). I have 2 sound locomotives in N scale and 5 in HO. My current projects are finishing my Amtrak ex-Metroliner cabcar, kitbashing an NPCU, re-decaling a P42DC into a P32ACDM, and painting/building 4 undecorated SD40-2s into NS units. I am acquiring the complete Chicago to Albany Lakeshore Limited consist in the current Phase IVb/V. I currently have both 1 and 67 from the recent release of Walthers Phase V P42s, the Viewliner sleepers in the consist, the diner, and 1 Amfleet II coach. I will finish the consist soon, as the cars will soon be discontinued, unfortunately the Amfleet coach has already been and I only have 1. Anyway, I hope to have a good "stay" here and I hope to meet some fellow present-day modelers. Thanks for reading, Ben
