New to site, i been into model railroading on and off for a few years, my father collects o27 and i have over the years collected a large collection of ho scale. nothing really expensive but a lot of stuff i am happy with.... i'm about to purchase a lionel ho scale texas special, ive wanted one since i first seen them. but the rubber band or whatever drives them is broke. the collector i'm purchasing from says a womens hair band works fine.. anyone else have any other ideas? i have not got the loco or owned a lionel ho scale loco, so i haven't had one apart to see what it looks like. just what i have read.
Might try a plumbing supply store and check into Neoprene "O"Rings. There might be one available that should work. Get several. Our local hardware store has "O"Rings in lots of sizes too. Good Luck.
