Hello everyone! I'm new in this forum and also in model railroading. I've been wanting to start my own model since I was a kid but always found some excuse (time, money, space, etc). Last year I picked up the idea once again and my wife really wanted to participate as well, so together we started a real plan to have a train running at home. In my country its not easy (nor cheap) to get supplies, specially for N gauge which is what we are going for, so we are going slow. Luckily, the planning stage coincided with a trip to Orlando, so we bought a bunch of track and even a train set during our trip. We also had the opportunity to visit Orlando N Trak Club one night, it was great! We were about to start actually building the layout but we decided to use a different space in the house. It's going to be difficult if we ever want to move it but it is also going to be bigger, more interesting and it will have more track. So I'm back at the drawing board again and trying to figure out how much additional track I will need for the new design.
Hi Ezequiel, welcome. Happy that you have come on board. It's wonderful that your wife is supporting, and encouraging you. Please keep us informed with your progress, especially with photos. We're excited by the new ideas new comers bring to the hobby.
