Hello, my name is Wim and I live in South Africa. I'm basically retired (thanks Covid pandemic) although I still have a few years to go before I can enjoy a full pension. At this moment I do not have a strong interest in railroads. I used to take photos of railroads and trains in the Netherlands and Germany but after my move to South Africa 20 years ago taking photos of that stopped. I then also broke down my model railway layout that I was working on but still have the H0 rolling stock. I might pick the hobby up again, possibly in a different form. I mostly registered because I'm a programmer and a question on the Arduino forums triggered my interest to write some PC software to use with Dcc++Ex (and possibly other systems) and this forum seems to be the place for support. Enjoy the weekend, WimS
Hi, WimS, welcome. I'm sure you will find much help here, but not from me. My last programing was in Fortran, some sixty years ago.
I imagine I am not alone when I say I am a big potato when it comes to programming and software, so having others around that don't want to cry at the sight of 'tfpt open timeout error' is always a boost to the community. Welcome!
