I'm new to the board, I grew up modeling HO with my dad, but I've been out of the hobby for quite some time. Looking to set up an N scale layout, modeling the Santa Fe on the west coast from the late 60's to early 80's , just stuff I grew up with. Just beginning to plan a smallish layout in a condo, from what I've read on here so far I've already learned a lot and I'll jump in with some questions as I get going. Tons of great info, stoked I found this site!

Welcome aboard! Starting and sometimes staying small is a good thing. With N, it is amazing how much can be done in a small space. My layout is 3X6 and will fit in a minivan or midsize SUV but allows a lot of potential. Welcome to the board, plenty of small space modelers here.

Great idea on N in a condo. Keep it mobile and perhaps plan to integrate it into a larger layout at a later date.

Thanks for the welcome! I think in the next couple weeks I may be looking for some help on a track plan, I'll post details as I get closer to knowing what I need to do-
