I was in the midst of preparation for re-painting my Pennsy MP15 to be Alaska RR 1551, when I had a clumsy accident. All 3 segments are on my work table - drive unit; inner frame for stairs, rails, etc.; outer main body. I started to move away from the work area and I got fouled up in my oxygen line (breathing - not spray painting). I stumble and in grabbing for balance I knocked the inner frame to the floor - and one of my feet came down on it. The railings are clobbered, but the frame itself broke cleanly in 2 pieces. So my cry for help is: to purchase from one of you a "dead" unit that you do not intend re-motoring - with an intact body, particularly the inner frame. -or- guidance as to : 1. How to glue the 2 parts together. I've tried CA, Testor's Plastic Weld, and ordinary model cement. None worked. What will glue that type of plastic? 2. Who is a good source for railing details? I thought of BLMA, but he doesn't seem to be doing that sort of thing Any guidance will be sincerely appreciated.:membarrassed:
