I work at a copper mine and I'm planning on modeling part of it back in its early rail days. I have this picture and am hoping that someone can help me identify what the pictured locomotive is

Kennecott Copper, Bingham Canyon mine. As I recall, built by GE. Thes came with at least three ways to get power. They were equipped with side swing pantographs, as seen pictured, (for when track and their portable trolley system poles were not aligned. Often the case in this pit), a straight up pantograph, and an extension cord on a reel under the cab. They also had a larger 90 ton GE version for road power out of the pit.

Wow that was fast, thank you. I have some pictures of the 90 tonners and they do look much bigger. Would this have a tonnage designation and the big question: do you know of any manufactures who have built one in HO scale?

I found it, GE 85 ton electric. Thank you BoxcabE50 for pointing me in the right direction.

I don't recall hearing of one in HO. But that doesn't mean it never happened. If it did, you'd be looking for brass.

There used to be one of these at the Northwest Railway Museum, in Snoqualmie, Washington. But at a quick glance, I don't see it listed in their collection.

Oh. I forgot one thing about that particular style of unit- They also had batteries!
