    Hello Everyone--

I am new to O Scale (3-rail) and don't know the nuances of this scale's coupler systems. I have two Williams cabooses with couplers whose heights are substantially higher than that of other cars and locomotives (the difference is enough to cause disconnections). What options do I have to lower the caboose couplers?

    Thanks,

    Steve

    Steve,

Are the couplers mounted on the trucks?

    Steve,

Do the couplers appear to be bent upward? From the Williams cabooses I seen over the years they use the same trucks as their box cars and so on. Maybe replacing the trucks with Lionel trucks would match the couplers. Any chance of shooting a picture and posting? Seems odd that they would have a problem lining up height wise.

    Pic of coupler height differences

    Greg--

Thanks for your response. From what I have noticed, Williams universally have higher truck mounted couplers than than those on lionel, MTH, or RMT BEEPS. I'll try to get a pic when I return from vacation.

You should be able to bend them down to match Lionel train cars. Do it all the time.
