My knowledge of the traffic on this line from Alliance, Ohio west is not much, but today I saw an eastbound double stack train come through Alliance on the Fort Wayne line. I didn't think they ran any through trains except coal to Sandusky.

Someone please help me with what traffic goes down this line!

    Thanks!

Next question, where does this train come from that it ends up on this line? Does it come off of the CSX in Crestline?

i had the same curiousity you have. I found out that NS has trackage rights on the CF&E from Bucyrus, OH to Crestline and they get back on NS track in Crestline to go east on the FT. Wayne line. i confirmed this with a friend that worked for the CF&E railroad.

Im not certain but that double stack train could have come out of Columbus. I remember about six months ago the ringler bros circus train was leaving cincinnati and going to youngstown and i heard it was going to be an all ns routing. they took the train from cincy to columbus on the ns dayton district then up the old pennsy ex n&w line to bucyrus and got on the ft. wayne line to go east to alliance. just outside of alliance they got on the lordstown secondary which took them up to youngstown. i see you live in warren, cause i used to work for the ohio central in youngstown years ago.
