It came across a little dark, but from what I could read it looks nice. What time frame are you modeling?

Looks great! I have subscribed to your blog and look forward to following your progress on there and in here. BTW, your helix looks GREAT! Although I am building mine "from scratch" (same dimensions), that Ashland kit looks to be of high quality. I recently found this video of this very same helix showing an Amtrak Superliner train going up:

    Blane,

Looks good. Some of your photos are a little dark. I don't know what to do with that except maybe bump the brightness a little and re-post them. The black background may be making them appear darker.

I noticed that you mentioned you were having problems with your blog setup earlier. If you have problems again, there's always TrainBlog here on TrainBoard.

The period I'm modeling is 1978-1983 when the Sparta District was on a slow down hill decline. After 1983 they removed the tracks all the way to Baldwin,Illinois and from Cario,Illinois to Percy,Illinois.I guess it would really be 1981-1982 when I really took notice.I 'm also considering a little what if to.Stack trains and the a few other late 80's and early 90's cars and locomotives I want to see a Kato SD90 in ICG Orange and Grayand a few other engines as well.I'm a coal train fan and The old Spartan printing plant where the y use to print all the DC and Marvel comic books in the 60's and 70's.So We will dee how the layout planning and the building will go so far so good.I'm not to well into computers so I will try to get better photos as time goes.My son told me to use the flash on the camarea next time it might help.So here we go.Thanks for the for the postings and all take care.
