Does anyone know anything about athearn's john deere promotional items? The main reason is because i want to know what release that f59phi (metrolink ish one that came with the caboose boxcar and gondola) was, basically when each of the promotional sets were released, i did a google search and athearn's website and came up with no info about the dates, hopefully someone knows something about these?
Ebay Listing has one marked as 2004. I think most of the releases use the release year as the Cab number on the engine. Don't hold me to tha on all of them though. However, this one has the older Horn-Hooks on it while the only visible car in the box above has Knuckles, couplers can be changed, but going by that if the lower engine is the one in question, we're probablyt looking pre-2004. Possibly, its a 2001-2 issue loco as a promo for the then "new" tooling. Would also still be early enough for Horn Hooks. Hope that narrows it for ya!
