Holder and rerailer that you put on the track?

I recall seeing a product that holds an HO locomotive or car. You can then put this product on a track and use layout power to run the locomotive off the holder and onto the track, or off the layout and onto the product. The product was stackable, so you could use it to store trains without ever touching the locomotive or car.

Anybody know what the name of this was? I thought I bookmarked it but can no longer find it. I think it was only made by one major manufacturer, maybe European.

    Thanks.

Nothing coming into mind right now, beyond home built projects seen or read about, in the past.

To rail freight cars or locomotives I use the Kadee uncoupling magnets that go between the rails. I glue the magnets where they will be needed. You could also make something similar using sheet plastic. Cut it to fit between the rails leaving space for wheel flanges and as long as the longest car you plan to rail. I don't have any rerailers in my railroad. Good track and good equipment makes them unnecessary

Peco Loco lift and storage unit or
    DCC Concepts MPD Loco Storage.
These two are probably the only ones commercially available.

    Thanks, Locomotion!

The Peco Loco Lift is exactly what I'd seen before but I also like the MPD Loco storage.

    Glad to help.
That's the beauty of internet forums, someone will always know exactly what it is you are after from the most basic of descriptions :)
