Hello, all, The X2011 West NMRA National Convention team wishes all of you a safe and Happy Holidays. As a special holiday treat for us all, the X2011 West Facebook team is happy to present 22 photos and 2 videos of Jack Burgess' famous HO Yosemite Valley RR at X2011 West Facebook web page (anyone can see, you don't have to logon to Facebook). The layout will be open during and on tour during the X2011 West Convention (July 3-9, 2011) in Sacramento and will also be open for visitors during the X2011 West Advance Section in the San Francisco Bay Area, which is during the weekend (July 1-3,2011) before the start of the NMRA National Convention in Sacramento. Jack Burgess models the Yosemite Valley Railroad set in August 1939. The layout is a multi-deck design filling a 20x20 layout room. All of the over 100 structures on the layout are scratchbuilt and the scenery duplicates that along the prototype as it makes its way from Merced, in California's San Joaquin Valley to El Portal at the western boundary of Yosemite National Park.
