How About New Alco/Mlw Power?

    Hi Everyone. Oct 8th/2000 11:05 Hrs MDT.

    I see Everyone wants NEW POWER. Whats Wrong with Getting Atlas, Kato, or Life Like
    or Con Cor, to Come out with say the Alco/MLW
    420s/424s or the Big C630s or the M636s. Perhaps I'm a bit Biased Here but I did Like
    these Units and I'd B Pleased to see these Units back on the Markets. Comments Anyone?

    Yep, I'd like to see some of these myself. Particularly M-420's for the Iowa Interstate [​IMG]

    I have to totally agree with stickymonk.
    For me hog heaven is when Atlas or Kato or even Life Like comes out with my favorite loco: C636 [​IMG]

    I could see the C636 being done, but not the M420. I am not saying I don't wanna see it done, I am saying that Atlas, Kato, Life Like or whatever will look at it as a Canadian model and immediatly say "No!". They don't seem to like to do special runs in N like they do in HO.

    How many C420s were built? I know BCR has two that are retired, then taken out of retirement periodacly to switch yards up north. They look like crap.......haven't seen paint since they were aquired in the 70s.

    The reason there's no one making Alco power is because it's just plain ugly! [​IMG]

    Seriously, the C4xx is one of the homeliest looking units ever made~ [​IMG]
