Again, masking and painting: red ! A few hours late I could remove the tape. There're a few spots which need some touch up. I've painted the end railings white. There's still the floor to be painted. This will be brush work! Just for the picture with roof. Wolfgang
Nice work Wolfgang. I have considered this kit for one of the cabeese on the Van Buren Sub but $40 for one piece of rolling stock is a bit steep for me right now.
Yes, a bit expensive. But if you calculate the dollar per building minute.... it's not so expensive. You have some time to work with. And I wanted one, better than another engine or any freight car. Wolfgang
Thank you, Nick. Now I've added decals, the typical Westport Terminal set. You can see, the walkway bottom is painted too. Then I've washed the decal faces with warm water and let it dry. Next step will be dullcote and weathering. Wolfgang
And now this caboose is finished. But if you look carefully you will see some spots where I will have to work more.
I had weathered the bottom and the roof. But I forgot the roof of the bay. Now, this is done. I've airbrushed the bottom with some earth color and added chalk at the roofs. I've added lead up to 100 g ( 3.5 oz) for the caboose. And - like you see - the caboose went into service. Wolfgang
