I'm Mozarelli and am creating my first real layout in N-scale. My benchwork is near completion and I am a little nervous about laying track. Guess I'll have to get over that, huh?
Hi Mozarelli, Welcome to the TrainBoard, glad to have you onboard. I can understand "nervous". Just jump in with both feet, because you always can rip up and replace parts, or all of it later. I guess I've started 10-12 layouts in the past 65 years, never finished one. My latest is about 2/3 scenicked, and is the best ever.
Hello to you, too! Welcome to TrainBoard! Don't be afraid of track laying. We all have learned through time, as you will, what works best for each of us. You can always take a few pieces to your work bench area, and practice laying them on some scrap lumber. It is not at all difficult. Please share some photos or a track plan with us.
Welcome to our humble abode. I think as you jump in, you'll find that tolerable trackwork isn't hard and gets better with practice. Kind of like carpentry (benchwork?) with the measure twice, cut once - planning and patience.
