About ten days ago, I posted a quesiton about DC wiring of a few stub tracks in a reverse loop. I was not able to do it with either your help or what was in the Atlas wiring book.

For the same ten days (and the week before I posted the question) I have been trying to figure it out, but those who have read my posts in the past on various topics know that I am less than ept, but not wholly inept.

I HAVE THE MOST WONDERFUL BROTHER IN LAW. [IMG] He is a lineman for Verizon. He was out up poles all day. He came over after a full shift, listened to the problem, thought for a few seconds and then attached the wire EXACTLY where I originally thought it should have gone. It did not work. I felf vindicated, wallowing in my ignorance. He screwed the screw down to make the connection. It worked. I felt like an imbecile. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
Another LESSON LEARNED on the LESSONS LEARNED LINES

Now for the wiring solution if you use an Atlas Controller for your reverse loop.

Purchase an Atlas Connector- the one with the yellow buttons. Make your DC blocks on either track of the reverse loop, it doesn't matter. Attach them to the top part of the Connector or Connectors. You will be using the Connector only as an interrupter of the electricity on only one track. Set out your blocks at the areas desired using insulated rail joiners or Pete Nolan's special methods. Take a wire. Attach it to the X terminal on your Controller. Attach the other end of the wire to the bottom left part of the Connector. Screw as hard as you think you should without stripping. You now have at least three blocks running off your reverse loop. Of course, make sure your reverse loop is double insulated at both ends of the loop. If it does not work, detach from the X terminal and put it on the Y terminal.
